Running from Ninja

"Something else to live for.......What else IS there to live for? I have nothing but power & the Shikon Jewel & now that I have both, I have nothing left I can live for" he mumbled under his breath as he looked up at the full moon.

"live for yourself...for the sake of living, surviving...depend on yourself and ONLY yourself..."

"I shall do that" he said, for once in his life, taking somebody else's advice.

nods "this is coming from someone who lives in the shadows of society...i know what its like to think your life isnt worth living,"

"I see. I....do not know what there is left to live for now that I have gained everything I needed" he said truthfully.

"just think about what you wanted before the shikon jewel or the woman who broke your heart came along...what was your dream before all that?"

"I didn't have a dream. I was one of the most feared bandits in existence. I was the bandit Onigumo, the bandit that caused nothing but destruction & death. Even back when I was human I still had nothing but hatred" he said.

"i see...well, think about your life..good and bad points...think about it all...what do you see?"

"I see......nothing. Nothing at all" he said.

"then its a blank canvas, build on it. Start your life from scratch,"

The man took off his pelt to reveal his features. He looked like this:



"Thank you" he said with a small smile on his face.

smiles "you're welcome, i just dont want anyone to end up like me,"

An idea came to him. "Come with me. We can start our lives anew together" he offered.

smiles gently "i couldnt put anyone in the danger i face..." starts walking again

"Trust me my dear, whatever dangers you can put on me I can handle. I am an immortal after all" he said.

"even immortality has its weaknes...take care...i look forward to when we meet once more, naraku..." looks back, giving him a suprisingly radient smile, unusual for her, before leaving

"Wait" he called out desperately. "Please, stay. Any danger you put me through would be far better then being alone" he said.

"i've already seen so many people come and go in my life,all of them killed one way or another...you cant be killed, thats true, but if they catch you....well, i dont want to speak of it anymore...i couldnt let that happen to you," keeps going

"Please, don't leave. Stay with me. I don't care what could happen if they catch me. ANYTHING is better then being alone, truly alone. PLEASE, stay with me. I'm tired of being alone" he said.

Naraku clenched his hands & tears slid down his face, crying for the second time in his life. He didn't make a sound. He just shook & cried silently.

kurai stopped for a while and leaned against a tree, a single tear sliding down her cheek. "...."

"WHY DOES EVERYONE ALWAYS LEAVE ME ALL ALONE" he yelled out to the night sky.

kurai flinched as she heard him yell. She bit her lip to try and stop the tears, her pain giving her something else to concentrate on. She turned back to him, still not letting him know she was still there

"WHY DO YOU CURSE ME GOD! I WAS ALONE THE DAY I WAS BORN & YOU TAKE EVERYONE AWAY FROM ME" he screamed to the sky.
